Do You Feel That You Are Right?
I sometimes FEEL that I am right. I do not KNOW that I am.
– Albert Einstein
Intuition sounds very “woo-woo,” but in fact it is derived from the Latin word Intueri, meaning to envision, to look within or contemplate. Einstein, one of the world’s most revered scientists also said, “The only real valuable thing is intuition.”
Most of us experience intuition through nothing more than a feeling, a whisper of the mind, or a hunch. When meeting someone for the first time, our intuition goes on high alert. We know, sense, or feel that the person we’re being introduced to is genuine or not. I’m betting that most of your first impressions are correct.
We experience intuition every day when faced with decisions. An inner voice awakens inside us to offer subtle and sometimes strong feelings. These intuitions help us navigate through life.
Your intuition is heightened around opportunities such as should you take that job, date that person, drive that route and so on. It’s also on high alert when you should be aware of unsavory people, poor decisions, or scary circumstances.
When I was younger, I faced an extremely dangerous situation of having my life threatened by a man who held a knife to my neck. My subtle intuition kicked in even though I was more frightened than I’d ever been in my entire life. My intuition told me to be talk quietly and wait until he was calmer, when I was able to escape. I was fortunate, but I also know my intuition saved my life.
So often we give our fears the greatest attention instead of calming our minds and listening to our intuition. Next time you are faced with a decision or obstacle, try to feel, or sense your answer by using your sixth sense of Intuition.
Have a great day today and always!
